Vinyl Horse Fence

PVC vinyl horse fence is a low maintenance, eco-friendly alternative to wood.

It looks like classic white rail fencing, but requires way less maintenance. It's easy to install over varied terrain. It is nontoxic and 100% recyclable. Vinyl fence does not corrode like steel fence or need any toxic chemical treatments to prevent rot like wood fence.

Vinyl fence is softer than the other physical barrier fences, so injuries are less likely. Also, it is highly visible to horses which also reduces accidents.

High quality vinyl fence usually comes with a lifetime warranty. But check the details of the warranty before you buy -- it may not cover damage caused by your horses.

This material can be expensive compared to other types of fencing and may not be appropriate if your horses tend to kick or chew on fences. Consider integrating an electric wire fence into your design to reduce wear and tear.

When purchasing, make sure it is certified for livestock confinement. Some farm and ranch products are decorative fence only and not designed for confinement of horses.

Opt for 100% virgin vinyl which offers the highest quality and strength.

Maintenance is minimal for vinyl fence. Check the posts and rails for cracks and holes and patch if needed. Test posts for firmness on a seasonal basis. An occasional cleaning with plain water and a soft bristled brush will keep you fence looking great. A gas-powered pressure washer can speed this chore, but be careful not to use too the lowest power setting to avoid damaging the finish.
