Horse Loss: Share Your Story

Horse loss is such a painful topic. Sometimes it seems like the hurt will never fade. But know that you're not alone in your loss. Others have walked the same lonely road and found their way to a place where they can turn, look back and smile.

"It helps to talk about it."

That's an overused phrase, but people use it so often because it's true. Sharing happy stories about lost loved ones lets you remember joy. Sharing your feelings of loss let you grieve. And sharing stories of hope help you heal.

If you're really struggling, equine grief counselors are available to speak with you about your feelings of loss or answer questions about euthanasia. They are compassionate, qualified and knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
